Project Description

You play as Sally as who has just received your engineering degree. To celebrate, your grandmother, who’s an eccentric inventor, has invited you to visit her strange workshop. But when you get there she’s nowhere to be found. Instead there are all of her crazy inventions. Amongst them, there are these weird TVs that can change your gravity and size. But then, you get a memo from your grandmother. She’s challenging you to find a way through all the rooms using her inventions!

My task

- Performance analysis of the TV feature
- Prototyping of gameplay functionalities
- Design, development, maintenance, and optimization of gameplay features (size and gravity mechanics)
- Audio implementation
- Management of the save/load system for levels
- Identified and resolved performance bottlenecks using Unreal Engine’s profiling tools
- Lead dev (Acting as a bridge between the development team and other disciplines)
- Creation of technical documentation

Project context

Developed a video game as part of our final-year project, based on a pitch created by team members and produced by a team of 19 students. The project was completed over 40 production days across 7 months.
